VM Guidelines

Guidelines are merchandising images and instructions on how to strategically place product within stores to improve the customer experience and improve business.

Within Coach, on the Global Visual Merchandising Team, I designed and produced the Men’s Global VM Guideline each month. They typically consists of 80 digital pages which are posted on an internal VM Server to reach all full -price Retail locations globally.

The Guidelines below are snippets of full guidelines.

Global VM Guidelines

The above guideline gives snippets of The Men’s Global Visual Merchandising Guideline. It illustrates Store Flow, VM Story Overviews, Feature Areas, Primary & Secondary Walls and other VM Layouts.

The Store Flow page is designed to provide field teams and store employees product placement and adjacencies direction

The VM Story Overview page summarizes key product information and color stories for the month.

The Feature Areas pages offer Key Ideas and Details information. Key Ideas gives direction on how to execute and adapt floorsets. Details are zoomed in images and instructions with clear merchandising direction.

The Ready to Wear Wall page provides product placement direction.

Bust Form Groupings are arranged by groups and feature Ready to Wear looks that are paired together. The groupings are determined by store assortment or store tier.
